Carl's Story

Did some local musical theater at Cumberland, and Union College (Pirates of Penzance, Little Abner, and Man of LaMancha) Went to Union College for 4 years, but couldn't figure a major so dropped out. I did get to go to Europe in '91' with a college group for 6 weeks. Saw Salzburg/ Vienna Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. (If you watch The Sound of Music there is a chance I was at the places you see in the movie including the top of the Untersberg mountain.) My family moved from Corbin to Louisville while I was away, and I joined them when I came home. Have lived here ever since. Was only child till age 19, then mom had a daughter. My sister is now going on 23 yrs herself this April. I got married on May 25th 1996. Wife is a Preschool teacher. Been to most of the eastern states, Canada 3-4 times, and in 2006 went to Mexico for a week on a mission trip. . 2004 I started filming and editing a local TV program called "The Rest of the News" which covers news issues from a conservative Christian viewpoint. Some episodes are on TheRestoftheNewsTV.com, and on WBNA21.com. Another program you can see on WBNA21.com is a show I make for River City Love Squad called 'Street Lights'. RCLS is a homeless mission here in Louisville, and we meet downtown every Monday at 7pm to have a service and then hand out clothing and food to homeless and those in need. We meet in downtown Louisville between Clay & Breckinridge St. If ever in Louisville stop by on a Monday. You'll have to tell me who you are and maybe have a yearbook cause my memory is shot. I don't know many of my own family members either so don't feel bad. Once I get past 1st cousins I get lost, and 3rd cousins, forget it I can't name a one. Sad I know. Maybe it's the aspartame, but I don't know. February 2011 I got to turn 41 yrs old at Disney World Magic Kingdom, I got to turn 39 at Disney World Epcot a couple of years ago. (That was when they did the free birthday ticket. 2009) 2012 I turned 42 in Florida, but waited til Feb 29th to be at Disney so I could be a part of "One More Disney Day". My wife and I were there for about 22 hours, and made stops in all 3 original parks with a hopper pass. Only spent a couple of hours in Epcot cause it closed shortly after we got there after a day at Disney Hollywood. The rest of the night we went through Magic Kingdom til about 4:30 am, and then left cause we had to drive an hour to where we were staying with others that didn't go with us. April 10th 2012 will be the two year anniversary of the call I got from my wife's cousin who told me he couldn't take anymore, and he was done. He couldn't keep a steady job, ruined his mom financially, was divorced, and accidentally shot and killed his father when he was 16 which haunted him his whole life. I got my wife to call his mom on the other phone line, and she knew where he was by our description of the tractor I heard him move into position. He asked me repeatedly if God would forgive him for killing himself. I could only tell him that I didn't believe he would, because it is obvious that a pe...Expand for more
rson's trust can't be in God if he doesn't trust Him enough to carry on, and forgive himself, and premeditate his own murder. He spoke for about half an hour, and I hoped/prayed I could say something, and pleaded with him not to do it. He asked if he could call me back. I asked if he would be able to, but he hung up without telling me where he was. I prayed and felt helpless. A few minutes latter we got a call from my wife's mom telling us that he had done it. At the funeral I got the story that his mom got to the location where he was and talked to him, but then right in front of her her 47 year old son stepped off the tractor that he had moved cause it wasn't in the right position, and the wire around his neck ended his life. I pray none of you have to get a suicide call. It is horrible on many levels. Guys, I've not seen a single one of you since graduation, and because I was one of the outcast, at a school where even the teachers didn't care much for me, I don't know anything about any of you. I have a plea for you though that you would turn to our loving savior (if you haven't) and trust in him for any cares you may have. This is a precious life, and we need to love everyone we can to the fullest of our ability. Show someone you care today, and let them know they are of worth and not a burden or a failure as this world would make them feel. May God Bless, and be the lover of your soul. In Christ we'll have a class reunion on the other side if I never see you again here on earth. Carl III Happy, Easter, Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas/Happy New Year! 2013, our little dog Cindy of 14 3/4 years (in the photos) had to be put down two days before her 15th birthday. Tore me up worse than I would have dreamed possible! Still tear up 2 years later. (I've not been on this site for 3 years) 2015, Am selling home, & will be living full time in a 34' motorhome. Don't know why God has us doing this, but we are, so we'll see. VvCsN AT HOT MAIL DOT COM 2015 - 2018 lived in Northern Florida. 2018-19 spent 6 months in Yuma, AZ then moved to Phoenix area 2019. Welp, now it's 2022, & we still live in our 34' home, & it's been parked in Phoenix AZ area for awhile, as we ran low on funds to see the rest of the west. Wife watches the park entrance workamping, so we have no bills except 2 vehicles insurance, & $10 a month mailing service. Dec 2021 was the first pay job I could find since Feb 2020 taking pictures of Santa at the local mall, hence the photo. In the park I run the sound for the in park church, this year I've helped lead worship in church, & once a month I put together a Drive-In movie night. Hope everybody likes the 1986,87, & 88 yearbooks now on this site. You're welcome! (Ya I had a thing for coloring in things, which is why the cardinal in the 87 cover was colored in with an ink pen. Sorry! I was wondering if they would leave all the comments written in my books, (like the one somebody always does about being the first to sign your crack. Ugh!) but they deleted all of that stuff.
